We are searching for a detail-oriented, hands-on Manufacturing Operator with specialist knowledge of electrical components. In this key role, you’ll assemble, inspect, and test advanced electrical systems and sub-assemblies for maritime lithium-ion battery applications. As Echandia grows its U.S. presence, you’ll help set the operational standard for quality, efficiency, and safety in our marine-focused manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical components and sub-assemblies according to drawings and work instructions.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans for accurate component placement and installation.
- Perform quality control inspections and testing of completed electrical assemblies for compliance with technical requirements and safety standards.
- Document build steps, inspection results, and issues in production tracking systems.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces aligned with Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Identify and report component or process nonconformities; participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and production leaders to improve assembly methods and support new product introductions.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols in an electrical manufacturing setting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certificate, associate’s degree or apprenticeship in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of recent experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with a focus on electrical, power electronics, or battery systems.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools for precise assembly and wiring.
- Experience documenting work and following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality control.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift up to 40lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation to onsite facility in Marysville, WA.
