Job Posting Description
The Occupational Therapist I will be responsible for:
- Providing occupational therapy services to patients admitted to our inpatient med-psych unit.
- The role includes group facilitation as well as individual assessments and 1-1 treatment sessions.
- The key collaborators are Bader Recreational Therapists and OTs in our other two 24hr program.
- The Psychiatric OT is a key member of the inpatient interdisciplinary team who serves as a resource for area(s) of expertise and consultant.
To qualify you must have:
- The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- 3-5 years of experience is preferred but not required.
- The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs.
- Communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well‑developed writing skills.
- Current certification by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy.
- MA State licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
