Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will integrate and manage the various projects of the Actuated, Structures, and Fluids design teams, with a focus on meeting program cost and schedule objectives through creative problem solving and strong judgement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the team to identify technical solutions and improvements
  • Drive the recurring status and variance analysis processes to further manage cost and schedule performance
  • Evaluate and support the functional organizations’ staffing plans and hiring efforts
  • Work within cost and schedule management tools in Excel, Project, and Primavera P6
  • Develop relationships throughout the organization and partner with management teams in understanding, in real-time, their progress and potential issues. Partner with them in resolving those issues before they impact cost and schedule performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering; physics; or other major requiring engineering or manufacturing core courses
  • 7+ years experience working on aerospace development programs or production lines in both leadership and hands-on roles; experience on commercial development programs a plus
  • Strong skills in Excel, Project, and Primavera P6
  • Experience with assembly and integration of aerospace vehicles across a range of launch vehicle subsystems including avionics, fluids, and mechanical
  • Ability to build productive relationships and help guide a “dotted line” team to success
  • Comfortable effectively communicating with senior management on progress, issues, and solutions
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams
  • A continuous improvement mindset. Our job is never complete; we are always optimizing.
  • Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight
