Position Description:
The EH&S Tech I will support the Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) department by performing various tasks aimed at ensuring the well-being and safety of employees. This role includes administrative duties, maintaining confidentiality of medical records, and supporting OSHA mandated medical surveillance programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:
- Maintains confidentiality of all medical records and employee health information.
- Create and coordinate annual testing schedules for OSHA mandated medical surveillance programs.
- Provide administrative support to medical department staff.
- Assist with injury intake and first-aid.
- Maintain medical supply inventory.
- Coordinate clinic appointments.
- Ensure required documentation is properly completed for all medical surveillance programs.
- Communicate discrepancies with staff nurse.
- Compiles and enters data in electronic data system.
- Perform occupational medical surveillance.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by Manager.
- Required to maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
- Maintains EHS programs and software.

Medical supplies and first-aid kits.

Qualifications:
- Formal training in occupational health and safety is preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience with health and safety programs and associated regulations is preferred.
- Ability to communicate efficiently both written and orally
- Good attendance
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to work independently
- Understanding of Wabash products and theâ¯components used to make the products
- Must be strong willed and capable of managingâ¯stress in a multi project environment
- Understanding of the receiving process and inventory flow process
- Strong understanding of the layout of the warehouse and other component storage locations.
- Understanding of warehouse receiving process, component storage process, material ordering, and the material movement.
- Strong understanding of record keeping
- Able to identify information on packing slips
