What you’ll do at Elekta
To further invest in the innovation of tomorrow’s radiotherapy solutions, we are now recruiting a
Senior Software Engineer to our Imaging group. The position is located at Elekta’s head office in
Stockholm, Sweden and you will report to Karin Ask.
In this Software Engineer position, you will be designing and developing the X-ray based imaging solutions in our future radiation therapy products together with skilled engineers and physicists,
focusing on image acquisition. You will be writing software that integrates the X-ray imaging hardware components into the system and provides the required functionality for image acquisition, safety, calibration, and diagnostics.
Implement software, including unit and integration tests
Document software detailed design
Define software architecture
Review requirements and test specifications
You understand that software development is more than just writing code, and you will take part in the whole development cycle from requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation. Since we work with future radiation therapy products, there is currently no work with maintenance or
obsolescence.
Your team is part of an international and cross-functional program working according to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

What you bring
To be a suitable candidate for this position we think you have a bachelor's or master's degree of Science in Engineering, specializing in computer science, electronics, physics or similar. It is meriting if you have prior experience of working in a regulated industry, preferably in the medical sector. You are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
You are someone who will thrive in a team that works with:
New development with modern C/C++
Python for test automation
Linux, Windows, and embedded microcontroller environments
It is meriting if you have prior experience in working with software architecture.
