In an ever-changing, fast paced world, we owe it to ourselves and future generations to live life responsibly. At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.

Join us and make a difference!

Your future team:

The Senior Manager reports to and works closely with the Vice President for Group Communications and the rest of the Group Communications team. The position also entails working closely with colleagues across disciplines in the department, among other Group staff functions, and with colleagues based in the subsidiaries. At full staff, the team consists of four people who pride themselves on a can-do, get-the-job-done spirit, where attention to detail, high quality, and collegiality are their trademark.

What you will be doing:

In this position, your main objective will be to help create greater cohesion and common sense of direction across ROCKWOOL Group, with the goal of binding the disparate parts of the Group together, thus strengthening our voice internally and externally (on the view that ROCKWOOL employees are our best ambassadors/messengers).

Working closely with colleagues across disciplines, you must be able to seek out new and transform existing information from multiple sources into clear and compelling stories and narratives for use via multiple communications channels – including though not limited to Group Intranet, while always considering potential other channels or applications. This includes generating new and adapting existing content for multiple uses, e.g. articles, video interviews, employee engagement initiatives, info screens, and other efforts to “get the message out” internally – and prospectively externally as well, where relevant.

You will be responsible for articulating and pursuing a clear strategy and workplan for internal communications, including meaningful metrics to measure impact. It is important that Group Communications lead by example – not necessarily that subsidiaries should replicate the Group internal communications strategy/action but be inspired by it. You will also be expected to advance Group objectives via collaboration and support to Group Management, Group staff functional leaders, and/or Group initiatives.

What you bring:

Being successful in this position, we consider the following professional qualifications as being essential:

  • At least 10 years internal communications experience within a large and intricate organisation with highly diverse internal stakeholders, preferably in an international business context.

  • Accustomed to contributing strategically and cross-functionally at a high level, with a proven track record of developing internal communications strategies that deliver favourable outcomes.

  • Experience in acting as a close sparring partner providing strategic guidance to management with a strong relationship-building and creative, hands-on approach to communications.

  • Experience with change management communication.
  • High professional level (native or near-native) written and verbal English-language skills, preferably some level of Danish language skills as well.

  • Notable multi-media skills, meaning ability to create content beyond the written word.

  • Clearly understand what makes a story compelling or engaging for diverse audiences in a geographically, culturally, and commercially diverse company as well as effective means to communicate such internally.
  • Educationally, at least a university degree (preferably an advanced degree) in a broadly relevant discipline; the specific educational subject matter focus is less important.

Among the personal characteristics that we think are necessary to succeed in this position are:

  • Be curious by nature and able to seek out and convert new and existing information into clear, coherent, interesting stories for multiple internal purposes, though always with an eye on potential external uses as well.

  • Can work independently, while also engaging collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines and geographies.

  • Able to interact with senior executives with appropriate oversight.

  • Enjoys creating interesting and engaging content and effectively developing and utilising multiple communications channels.
  • Identifies opportunities and convert them in
