Job Description

Managing a key group of referral partners who are responsible for the generation of a pipeline of commercial card opportunities through introducing our products to their client base, these referrals are driving a fast growth segment of the bank card business for US Bank.

Assigned to the Mid-West and Western located partners, this role will have you meeting with the leadership contacts at each bank partner you manage, to identify and monitor market trends, lay out strategies for continued portfolio growth, deal with day-to-day program escalations, and manage the contractual aspects of maintaining the partnership agreements. Internally you will also work with several groups to oversee the various items and tasks that will come up during the management of the partners activities, this will include working closely with the sales manager, whose team work on the referrals we generate, the relationship and service teams who take care of the downstream customers, who make up the FI partners portfolios.  In summary this role is all about keeping your assigned partners motivated to generate further growth through the selling of our products to their client base.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

• Experience in bank card or commercial card industry strongly preferred
  - Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience.

• Preferred Skills/Experience
  - Considerable knowledge of sales or relationship management strategies
  - Effective verbal and written communication skills
  - Strong management and leadership skills
  - Demonstrated new business development and relationship management skills
  - Effective customer service/relations skills
  - Considerable knowledge of banking products/services, banking operations, and current market trends
  - Ability to make important decisions independently
