About the role

Job Title: Security Officer

Overview: As a Security Officer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the manufacturing facility, its employees, and its assets. You'll implement security procedures, monitor access points, and respond to security incidents to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Site Specific: Ensure the proper MSHA Site Specific Part 46 processing of all vendors, visitors and contractors.
  1. Surveillance and Monitoring: Regularly patrol the premises, monitor security cameras, and conduct routine checks to identify potential security threats or breaches.
  2. Access Control: Manage access points, verify credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors entering the facility, and enforce security protocols.
  3. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies, taking necessary actions to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
  4. Security Protocols: Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance among employees and visitors to maintain a secure environment.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security incidents, prepare reports, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address security concerns.
  6. Collaboration: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other relevant authorities as needed.
  7. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements or upgrades to prevent potential threats.
  8. Training: Provide guidance and training to employees on security protocols and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and surveillance systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-stress situations.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential security risks.
  • Physical fitness and ability to patrol the premises regularly.
  • Up to-date D-License certificate

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are a plus.
  • Proficiency in using security equipment such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, etc.
  • Understanding of local laws and regulations related to security and safety.
