About this position:

The Physical Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, reporting, recommending and implementing trending solutions that provide for the protection of NorthWestern Energy's physical assets in Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska. The incumbent will be the security resource in the assigned area and must have credible expertise while demonstrating highly proficient knowledge in process analysis, investigative and interview techniques, consulting, risk management techniques, computer usage, report writing, electronic protection systems and familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations (10CFR), Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska Criminal Codes. The Analyst will implement physical security measures in identified locations which provides for the security and safety of staff, visitors, physical assets, information, and operations.

• Identify, improve and gathering analytical data to support and comprehend complex data into reliable and supportable reports
• Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Contribute in developing and implementing an overall physical asset protection strategy (Physical Security Roadmap) and Hydro Generation physical security plan that ensures compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
• Assist in the implementation of an overall company-wide Physical Security Strategy, this includes developing policies and procedures to address physical security requirements across all departments and integrating existing physical and cyber security policies and procedures within the Physical Security Strategy.
• Research physical security best practices and benchmark utility physical security objectives and protections. Prepare reports of findings and associated recommendations for review and action by appropriate company managers, directors and officers.
• Coordinate responsibilities to federal and industry entities as they relate to NERC and FERC compliance, including internal and external audits
• Conduct meetings and presentations to provide updates to on-going projects and processes
• Support and assist with the execution of the Physical Security Road Map
