Job Overview

Supports the Shipping/Receiving Department by maintaining an accurate inventory of raw materials and finished product.  Receives and stocks material, ensures work orders are filled in a timely manner.  Prepares materials to be sent for sterilization and prepares non-product orders for out bound shipment.

In addition, manage all areas for conformity to FDA, ISO and GMP standards.

 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Supervise and direct all Wayne warehouse & receiving personnel.
• Supervise the storage and picking of all component parts and materials for production, deliver supplies and packages to various departments and process all paperwork by completing the respective transactions in the appropriate system.
• Assist in the receipt of product into stock.
• Assist in preparing employee work schedules including the review, approval and issuance of work assignments.
• Monitor and control department overtime.
• Maintain employee morale and discipline.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all raw products, packaging materials and supplies.
• Coordinate the training of employees in the use of equipment and related safety activities.
• Manage and direct all cycle counts and physical inventories within the Raw Stores warehouse.
• Assist in weekly cycle counts and yearly Physical Inventories.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a clean organized work area and storage area.
• Manage transportation of product to Distribution Center, including scheduling of carriers.
• Manage domestic/international customer orders for the Wayne warehouse using FIFO logic to, pick/check and pack products for distribution.
• Manage data entry as required for shipping returns/receiving and transfer transactions.
• Manage deliveries using a company vehicle to locations such as other Getinge facilities, product sterilizer or Finished Goods warehouse
• Supervise incoming shipments and inspection.
• Supervise and assist in control of chemicals and hazardous materials by verifying chemicals to an established list, handle per applicable handling methods
• Manage scheduling of sterilization pick-ups and deliveries
• Supervise customer and administrative product returns

 

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years proven leadership capability +5 years shipping/receiving experience or equivalent.
• Hazmat certification a plus

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have strong interpersonal Skills
• Ability to communication effectively to all levels in the organization
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of inventory control system
• Must be knowledgeable of standards for chemical handling, hazmat or hazwopper (chemical awareness).
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent software application is preferred.
• SAP knowledge
• Ability to operate all types of warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack), tools and fixtures.

Salary: $22/hr - $25/hr
