Purpose and Scope: 

We are looking for a Program Director to lead a large, impactful, digital services program in the government healthcare space, focusing on cloud modernization and data analytics. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment and is adept at navigating a complex and evolving work environment. 


Responsibilities: 


• Lead a large program (more than 50 team members) in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment. 

• Manage program delivery and be accountable for business, technical, and mission-focused outcomes 

• Provide team leadership in developing efficient processes and high-quality deliverables.  

• Engage with clients and other stakeholders as the primary interface for the program, enabling a collaborative, responsive and trusting relationship. 

• Collaborate with government partners on strategic direction of the program.  

• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving cross-functional team success.  



Requirements

Qualifications:


 

  • All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation.
  • 10+ years in IT consulting, with significant agile project/program management experience in the federal government space.  
  • Demonstrated experience in managing substantial teams (30-80+ people) in healthcare IT.  
  • Proven ability in establishing new programs and teams, especially in high-demand environments.  
  • PMP or SAFe certifications are a plus  
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or similar healthcare sectors.  
  • Passion for leading-edge innovation and commitment to process improvement.  
  • In-depth understanding of engineering, data, user experience, and product management.  
  • Business acumen with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive program success. 


Required Skills:

  • Adaptive Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead in a fast-evolving, dynamic environment. Comfortable making decisions in complex situations and capable of pivoting strategy as needed.  
  • Risk and Contingency Management Expertise: Skilled in navigating high-stakes scenarios with calmness and strategic foresight. Experience in managing challenges proactively and leading teams through periods of change.  
  • CMS and Healthcare Acumen: Deep understanding of CMS regulations, coupled with experience in healthcare-focused projects.  
  • Agile Management Proficiency: Extensive experience in agile project management, promoting continuous improvement and innovative product delivery.  
  • Financial and Operational Insight: Strong grasp of program financials, staffing, and subcontract management, with a track record of maintaining budget integrity and operational excellence. 
  • Customer Engagement 


 

  

Working Environment:
eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
