Location:  Richmond, VA Headquarters

The Sr. Audio Visual (AV) Engineer serves as the technical lead and strategic coordinator for all audiovisual operations supporting company events and IMB-sponsored gatherings nationwide.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as senior AV systems architect and operational lead for all high-profile campus events, including executive forums, employee worship services, and organization-wide gatherings.
  • Provide hands-on engineering and live-event technical direction, including support for multi-camera video shoots, production switchers, and studio systems, ensuring broadcast-quality production and uninterrupted mission delivery.
  • Oversee complete AV infrastructure, covering installation, signal flow design, preventative maintenance, lifecycle upgrades, and vendor coordination while maintaining detailed system documentation to ensure continuity, scalability, and long-term reliability
  • Lead AV strategy, system design, and on-site execution for national IMB events, including Sending Celebrations, trustee meetings, and regional gatherings in close collaboration with Marketing and Events teams.
  • Direct multi-camera live productions, including switching, streaming, and live troubleshooting, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality, mission-aligned content.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor performance; conduct site assessments and post-event evaluations to ensure system efficiency, brand consistency, and continuous

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • At least five years of hands-on experience in audiovisual engineering
  • Proven experience in end-to-end AV production, including high-fidelity sound engineering, multi-platform system integration, multi-camera video shoots, and similar experience
  • Previous experience being the running point for all technical and AV needs during events
  • Demonstrates competency in videographer/editor or setting up for video live shoot.
  • Effective and clear communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure with time sensitive deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, and flexibility to handle various situations and challenges.
  • Proficiency in AV software and hardware to include Pro Presentor, Live Stream, Vimeo, Black Magic and other relevant software tools
  • Ability to travel to various events between locations and out of state regularly, approximately 4-6 times a year.
