Technical Skills:

  • Excellent expertise and ability to challenge the KPIs/KRIs, have critical understanding of risks that the company faces.
  • Coordinate, on an ongoing basis, the implementation of the Risk Management Plan.
  • In collaboration with risk owners and sponsors, develop risk management tools, practices, policies, and metrics to help business units and departments understand specific risks and manage those risks according to the established enterprise risk management framework.
  • Experience in enhancing an Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Domain expertise in OCC guidance relevant to ERM, specifically knowledge of COSO, RMA, and FFIEC guidance.
  • Demonstrated exceptional knowledge of specific domains, such as RCSAs, operations of a GRC tool
  • In depth understanding of critical risks applicable to financial institutions and experience enhancing ERM policies and procedures across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting governance committees, such as boards, executive management, and regulators.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

  • Work autonomously, without oversight, be the thought leader and exercise expertise and judgment when creating solutions.
  • In collaboration with Head of Risk, define priorities with little direction, align to team, department strategy
  • Apply a sophisticated approach to problem solving.
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Capable of successfully navigating roadblocks and obstacles that may come up, escalating when blocked
  • Directly responsible for the entire lifecycle of ERM projects, processes, or tasks, including planning and design, execution, and deployment.
  • Support audit and regulatory requests, including risk assessment summaries, remediation and other evidence produced by the ERM program.
  • Very strong analytical skills with the ability to assess a wide range of topics and assess risk at a micro and a macro level.

Organizational Knowledge:

  • Ensure the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with regulatory expectations, applicable regulations.
  • Review the strategy of Anchorage Digital and consider it while developing the Enterprise Risk framework.
  • Ensure that knowledge is shared amongst the team and does not position themselves or others as a single point of failure.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Risk,Understand how the company’s priorities relate to Enterprise Risk Management, and clearly communicate the ‘why’ behind the work.

Communication and Influence:

  • Communicating and escalating risk trends and risk management best practices.
  • Contribute to cross-functional ERM projects, collaborate with FCC, TMG, IT Risk, InfoSec teams and adjacent teams to solve problems, and assist or teach other team members.
  • Capable of breaking down large RCSA or Policy Review projects into smaller tasks, and accurately estimating the time and scope of projects. Articulate effectively the different options considered, analyze trade-offs, justifies and recommends priorities.
  • Uses compelling arguments to convey Risk Management and GRC insights, recommendations, conclusions and ideas on how to improve the program.
  • Promote a positive working environment through proper listening, speaking and empathy with team members. Embodies and is a role model of our culture pillars.
