NCIA is seeking reliable and hardworking Janitorial Crew Members to provide high‑quality cleaning and custodial services at our I-95 contract site in Laurel, Md. This role is essential to maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming environments for staff, visitors, and the communities we serve. What You’ll Do
As a Janitorial Crew Member, you will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure facilities meet contract standards. Responsibilities may vary by site but typically include:
Custodial & Cleaning Duties
Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, counters, partitions, and door latches
Sweep and mop floors; clean and disinfect hand dryers and baby changing stations
Refill toilet paper, soap, and other dispensers as needed
Clean mirrors, glass surfaces, and light fixtures; replace bulbs when necessary
Ensure restrooms are odor‑free, functional, and well‑maintained
Clean utility areas, water fountains, foyer areas, and high‑touch surfaces
Maintain clean walls, painted surfaces, and signage
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
Clean vending machine areas
Exterior & Grounds Maintenance
Remove trash and debris from sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and parking lots (as required by contract)
Maintain lawn and garden areas in a clean and orderly condition
Clean picnic slabs, tables, and shelters (as required by contract)
Supply & Equipment Management
Store supplies and equipment securely
Ensure adequate supplies are available and report shortages
Other Duties
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support contract needs
Secondary Responsibilities
Clear walkways, roadways, and parking lots of snow and ice
Clean internal and external windows twice per year

Physical ability to perform custodial tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
