Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Principal Manufacturing Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position requires on-site support located in Palmdale, CA where technology and teamwork come together. The selected candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Manufacturing Engineering Team working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.

Principal Manufacturing Analyst job duties involve the following:

  • Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment

  • Performs ERP/CAT’s name runs to support CAM responsibilities

  • Supports project tracking duties tied to Cost Reduction Initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficiency in data analysis and gathering data from different sources

  • Proficiency in SAP/MES/Teamcenter

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, Engineering, and Production

  • Experience supporting project tracking

  • Experience supporting production, business, and other processes in a team-based environment

  • Ability to work for extended periods of time at a workstation on a computer or similar device for up to 10 hours / duration of shift. Occasional extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling

  • Ability to work 1st shift "5:00am-3:30pm" or 2nd shift "4:12pm-2:42am" and any work schedule (times may vary) 

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Ability to travel at least 10%


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Access and VBA proficiency

  • Experience with CAD/3D Modeling

  • CAM Certified

  • Experience creating procedures or process manuals

  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Bill of Materials)

  • Active in-scope DOD Secret security clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
