Position Summary

Provides specialized analysis and requirements integration for Army Aerial Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance capabilities. The analyst tracks, assesses, and synchronizes A-ISR programs, prototypes, sensors, platforms, acquisition pathways, and operational employment considerations to support FCC/FID decisions and integration across the Intelligence and Aviation communities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess current and emerging A-ISR capabilities, requirements, operational needs, concepts, acquisition activities, demonstrations, tests, and fielding plans.
  • Track and analyze programs and efforts such as HADES, ATHENA, ARTEMIS, ARES, SEMA, high-altitude platforms, UAS, launched effects, advanced reconnaissance kits, and related PED/federated-intelligence capabilities.
  • Participate in test and evaluation WIPTs, program reviews, stakeholder synchronization meetings, RISM/data-reconciliation forums, AROC/JROC activities, and other A-ISR-related working groups.
  • Review and provide comments on A-CDD/CDD/Characteristics of Need products, annexes, requirements documents, decision-support packages, and acquisition or experimentation products.
  • Prepare executive summaries, briefings, issue papers, portfolio trackers, risk assessments, and recommendations for division and directorate leadership.
  • Synchronize across Intelligence, Aviation, acquisition, program-management, Joint, and operational stakeholders to identify dependencies, funding risks, interoperability concerns, and opportunities for integration.
  • Maintain awareness of worldwide A-ISR technologies, threats, operational lessons, and Joint/Service developments and assess their implications for the future Army force.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant military, intelligence, aviation, acquisition, capability-development, or defense-industry experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in airborne ISR platforms, sensors, UAS, SEMA, PED, intelligence collection, or related capability portfolios.
  • Experience reviewing requirements, acquisition, test, or portfolio products and translating technical information into operationally relevant recommendations.
  • Ability to operate effectively across Intelligence, Aviation, acquisition, and senior staff communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Former Army Military Intelligence, Aviation, UAS, acquisition, or requirements officer/NCO/civilian experience.
  • Knowledge of HADES/ATHENA/ARTEMIS/ARES or comparable A-ISR modernization efforts.
  • Experience with AROC/JROC, Middle Tier of Acquisition, test and evaluation, GFMAP, and intelligence capability portfolio management.

Expected Work Products

Decision-support briefings; analyses and assessments; meeting notes and executive summaries; staffing comments and comment-resolution inputs; plans, trackers, status updates, and recurring CDRL/monthly-report contributions appropriate to the assigned PWS task.
