JOB SUMMARY: Ensure student achievement by providing districtwide leadership for Career and Innovation programs that prepare students for postsecondary education, careers, and lifelong learning. Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of high-quality, standards-aligned, and industry-relevant programming that integrates curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student engagement. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district requirements; manage assigned budgets and resources; and serve as a member of the Performance Improvement Leadership Team, whose primary responsibilities include supporting schools, advancing a comprehensive vision for teaching and learning, and modeling best practices across the District. Serve as a member of the Administration Council (AdCo).

Articulate and implement a districtwide vision for Career and Innovation aligned to the District’s strategic plan, Board of Education policies, and state and federal expectations. Lead innovative efforts that integrate Career and Technical Education (CTE), STEM, project-based learning, AVID, counseling, work-based learning, and career pathways with rigorous academic standards.

Oversee assigned Career and Innovation programs to ensure alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment with Colorado Academic Standards, industry standards, and postsecondary expectations. Lead program evaluation, student progress monitoring, and continuous improvement using multiple data sources.

Support districtwide implementation of effective, differentiated, and culturally responsive instructional practices related to career-connected learning. Collaborate with district leaders to design and deliver professional learning that builds educator capacity and instructional coherence.

Hire, supervise, support, and evaluate assigned certified and classified staff. Promote leadership development, accountability, and a positive, inclusive, high-performing work culture within Career and Innovation programs.

Serve as a member of the District Leadership Team and Administration Council to facilitate communication, collaboration, and alignment across the district. Prepare reports and presentations for district leadership and the Board of Education as requested.
