The Revenue Accounting team is responsible for the full Order to Cash process at Plaid — including contract configuration, billing, revenue recognition, month-end close, and accounts receivable collection. We work closely with cross-functional teams such as Commercial, Billing Engineering, Legal, and Finance to improve systems and processes, ensure revenue accuracy and compliance, and provide strategic support to help Plaid win and scale large customer deals.
You will own complex contract reviews in accordance with ASC 606,, and monthly close processes. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Billing Eng, Finance, RevOps, BizTech and Legal to help scale our systems and processes.

Responsibilities
- Review and configure customer contracts and assess revenue recognition
- Participate in revenue month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and flux
- Partner with Commercial, GTM, StratFin to evaluate new deal structures
- Partner with Billing Eng, RevOps and BizTech to drive for system improvement
- Support audits and provide documentation
- Drive process improvements and automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting or related; CPA preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting
- Experience working at a SaaS / Software high-growth tech company and Big 4 preferred
- Strong ASC 606 knowledge
- Experience with SaaS / Software / Usage-based revenue recognition
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, and ownership
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
