Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Senior Spares Manufacturing Engineer to become part of the Defense Spares Engineering team in Oklahoma City, OK.

Defense Spares Engineering is responsible for the delivering products and services that provide best in class spares solutions for maximum customer value.

Position Responsibilities:

• Build technical data packages for use by suppliers.
• Develop and implement manufacturing plans.
• Resolve technical problems that could seriously impact performance, cost, or schedule.
• Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate a producible definition and investigate alternative solutions to meet producibility requirements.
• Work in a cross-functional work environment including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.   

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options (Oklahoma City, Ok).  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Travel:

Travel (10-50%) may be required in support of the program and customer.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• 9+ years’ experience accurately and productively reviewing, commenting, resolving and approving technical designs and data packages.
• 9+ years’ experience developing and optimizing efficient manufacturing plans.
• 9+ years’ experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
• 9+ years’ experience analyzing and conducting root cause analysis, in addition to developing dispositions for design non-conformances.
• Capability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
