Key Responsibilities as a Warehouse Supervisor at dnata Catering, your role is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our aviation catering company. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities within the warehouse, managing a team of warehouse staff, and ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed accurately. Your creative problem-solving skills will be utilized to optimize warehouse layout and workflow, ensuring maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness. Your smart and proactive approach will help in maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to the aircraft. You Will
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Silverware, Warehouse, Beverage, and Equipment assembly to maintain company standards and specifications.
- Supervise personnel to maintain proper inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and requisition processes.
- Participate in inventory and reporting processes.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, and applicable laws.
- Work in a safe manner to prevent accidents to self and coworkers. Stresses safe work habits to all employees daily.
- Maintain regulatory compliance standards (examples: US Customs documents for all airline accounts,
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), etc.)
- Guide, motivate and develop employees within the Human Resources Policies’ .
- Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Hazard Analysis and Critical Control.
- Points (HACCP), Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety.
- Immediately investigate, document, and report all on the job accidents following company safety procedures.
- Ensure all VSIE / customs paperwork is completed and submitted timely.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Other duties as assigned by management (i.e., VIP shopping, dish room and equipment departments).
The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $77,000.00 annual with weekly pay, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
You Have
EDUCATION: Associate Degree, equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years related experience in warehouse, logistics within a manufacturing industry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proven success in improving work processes, leading change, and role model positive behaviors as well as change agent skills in a complex and fast-paced environment
- The ability to meet requirements necessary to obtain a PANYNJ (Port Authority), Port ID (per TSA regulations and more specifically, 49 CFR §1542.209)
- Ability to interact with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Customer Relations skills
- Schedule flexibility- able and willing to work holidays and weekends.
