Job Description

Summary:

Specializing in cash applications, this position will process high volumes of remittances and accurately apply to correct customer accounts. Requires a highly organized individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.  They will be a self-starter capable of independent work and possess attention to detail, focusing on accuracy. 

Responsibilities

• Process payments received via lockbox, ACH and credit card on a daily basis
• Research and resolve any payment issues such as double payments or other payment discrepancies
• Work with Customers, Branch Admin and Collection Specialists to resolve missing/unclear application details
• Customer cash reconciliation and analysis
• Support various teams to ensure that companywide goals are exceeded while making certain that cash application is completed timely and accurately
• Provide timely, clear, and accurate responses to both internal and external customers
• Assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma AND 3+ years’ experience in accounts receivable and high-volume cash application
• Ability to work independently and contribute to broader team objectives
• Ability to multitask and manage time amid multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Collaborative team player
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to determine root cause

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in finance or accounting
