Job Summary and Role description

  
You will work as an Analytical Engineer within the IES organization together with an international high-motivated team to shape the future of analytics at SAP and to drive the transformation of our solutions to the cloud.

The position is a unique opportunity to develop and grow your talents and utilizes your expertise in a global role coping with both, business and technology.

 

Your primary tasks include:

• Define, develop, deliver and support analytic solutions based on business requirements, priorities and performance constraints
• Define & follow best practice architecture & design analytical data model via HANA, HANA Cloud and Datasphere
• Understand the demand of our customers, challenge requirements in terms of business value and effort / complexity and translate it into analytical solution
• Strengthen the agile team with your development, analytical solution and collaboration skills
• Proactively looking for innovative ideas of solving problems and providing additional business value
• Challenge the status quo
• High grade of motivation and enthusiasm to optimize solutions and processes
• Drive continuous improvements and identify challenges and issues in existing reporting content

Experience:

• Masters or similar degree in computer science, engineering, business information technologies or related fields
• Minimum work experience of 2 years in consulting or development roles with a focus on analytics.
• Experience working in scrum mode is a plus.
• Analytical data modelling and architecture skills are mandatory
• Good knowledge of SAP HANA modeling or any other SQL database modeling tool
• First experience with SAP Datasphere is a plus
• SAP Data Intelligence, SAP BW and Planning experience is considered a plus
• Good knowledge of SAP SAC is a plus
• SAP Business Processes knowledge is a plus
• Team player. Ability to lead, guide and work well with others
• Strong analytical skills with the ability for abstract thinking
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills to successfully interact with colleagues and executive management
