Help the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fulfill its mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations.
This position is with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) located in Tillamook. This is a full time, Limited Duration position through May 31, 2025.
We will also consider a Job Rotation for current, regular status employees of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in good standing in a permanent or limited duration position (not temporary or seasonal) that is expected to continue through at least May 31, 2025. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Biological Science Assistant – Oregon Plan Monitoring Surveyor, you will independently survey selected Oregon coastal streams to count naturally spawning salmon. Data are distributed to Ocean Salmon Management, Regional and Fish Division staff for use in managing coastal salmon stocks. General project activities include:
