About the role

Position Overview

The Senior Human Resources (HR) Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Bank’s HR team on a broad range of HR disciplines and will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting HR data to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform business decisions and improve HR processes.  This role will also play an important part in driving effective HR communications using strategic quantitative and qualitative data and creative storytelling.  This role will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate large amounts of data into actionable recommendations in an engaging manner.

 

This position will report directly to the SVP, HR Director and will augment the Corporate Headquarters HR team by possessing a broad understanding of all HR disciplines while serving as a key resource to the CHRO, HR directors across all markets, and leadership at all levels of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

Data Management, Analytics and Reporting

  • Utilizing HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making is an increasingly important aspect of the role. Create, collect and analyze data on a monthly basis related to key HR metrics (employee turnover, recruitment, performance, and other key HR functions). In partnership with the CHRO, use this data to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements related to milestones and benchmarks for key performance metrics. 
  • Support ongoing job evaluation and compensation program through analysis of jobs, compensation benchmarking and data collection.  Analyze annual compensation changes (merit, bonus, LTI) and pay for performance data to ensure both internal equity, external competitiveness and compliance with labor laws.  Assists in the development and administration of salary administration, compensation policy reviews and pay structure development.
  • Partner with HR Director to administer annual employee opinion survey and other key survey mechanisms such as exit interviews, stay interviews, ad hoc surveys that serve as key inputs to understanding organizational culture dynamics.  Create effective reporting tools to disseminate results and partner with leaders to establish appropriate reporting accountability.
  • Create mechanisms to evaluate effectiveness of processes such as Performance Management, and Succession Planning as well as training and development offerings.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records supporting a consistent employee relations management process. Implement a system of record in ADP for documentation purposes. 

Compliance and Policy Administration

  • Support the annual creation of HR policies and code of ethics.  Partner with Legal to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations as a fundamental aspect of the role.
  • Establish effective tracking and reporting mechanisms, as needed, to ensure compliance and learning objectives are met timely.

HR Communications

  • Partner with HR Director on implementation and ongoing maintenance to support the HR marketing and communications strategy.  Support the creation and maintenance of new SharePoint site for all HR communications to ensure resources are easy to use/access and maintain ‘one voice’ on behalf of the organization.  This may include creating resources and talking points for related HR processes, initiatives and Bank-wide communications.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to understand their needs and provide data-driven insights.

Other Duties and Ad Hoc Reporting, as Assigned.

Work Environment

The Senior Human Resources Data Analyst will work in a professional office setting, with occasional travel to bank markets as needed. This role requires a high level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.  While this position may work from any of our affiliate bank locations across the organization, areas of preference include St. Louis, Jefferson City or Kansas City, MO or Tulsa, OK.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or relevant field, preferred. Emphasis on quantitative studies, a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience, with a focus on reporting, analytics and business consulting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and professional presence, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
