If you’re looking for a role where your nursing skills, empathy, and attention to detail truly matter, this is the opportunity for you.Position SummaryThe Physical Therapist in the Pelvic Floor Therapy Department at Urology Austin plays a vital role in improving patients' quality of life through specialized, compassionate care. This clinician evaluates and treats pelvic floor dysfunction using evidence-based techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, behavioral interventions, and patient education. Working closely with physicians, support staff, and fellow therapists, this role is part of a collaborative, patient-centered team committed to restoring function and supporting whole-person wellness. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide one-on-one care in a supportive outpatient setting focused on innovation, clinical growth, and meaningful impact.Job Relationships:
Physical Demands
- Reports to the Manager of Physical Therapist.
- Partners with front office, clinical support staff, and providers.
- Functions as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Supervises: None
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy University with a Master’s or Doctorate Degree.
- Current Texas State PT or OT License.
- Pelvic floor therapy and/or lumbopelvic orthopedic experience preferred. Will hire and train the right new graduate candidate. No pelvic floor certifications necessary.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification l Health Care Provider – BLS-HCP
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Evaluate and provide effective treatment to optimize the function of the pelvic floor muscles to reduce pelvic pain, improved bladder control, bowel control, and sexual function.
- Restore or enhance client’s engagement in daily occupations often impacted by pelvic floor dysfunction, such as toileting, hygiene maintenance, sexual activity, sleep, and community mobility.
- Movement and activity analysis expert who improves patients’ quality of life through prescribed exercise, manual treatment, behavioral modifications, patient education, and patient advocacy.
- Maintain clinical documentation within the EMR assuring compliance with all requirements.
- Follow OSHA regulations and maintain compliance within the clinic setting.
- Provide feedback to the physicians as relevant to patient progress.
- Demonstrate understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding and billing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of HIPAA.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.

- Visual acuity and auditory ability to assess patient needs and input data
- Occasional physical strain from multitasking or high-volume communication
- Medical office setting with direct patient interaction
- Well-lit, ventilated, and moderately noisy environment
- Frequent contact with a diverse population of patients and staff
- Occasional stress due to time-sensitive patient needs or high patient volume
