  • Serves as Court Officer for County or District Courts, or Senior Officer in satellite office.
  • Supervises and monitors caseloads as directed
  • Prepares pre-sentence Investigation Reports; complies reports and statistics as required. 
  • Performs courier duties between satellite offices, file court papers for satellite offices.
  • Prepares correspondence, letters, forms and documentation as required.
  • Administers drug testing through urinalysis and hair testing and make appropriate referrals for assessment and treatment.
  • Ensures offenders receive court directed counseling, screening and referrals as needed.
  • Conducts interviews, assessments and evaluations of offenders, visitations to jail, and pre-sentence investigations.
  • Conducts office, telephone conversations and field visits with probationers on scheduled basis, after work hours or on weekend.
  • Research, prepare and evaluate violation reports and make the appropriate modifications to the requested reports.
  • Maintain and record documentation on each defendant’s case; prepare statistical data monthly on all cases assigned
  • Ensures offenders receive court directed counseling, screening and referrals as needed.
  • Maintains communication with other agencies involved in offender’s supervision/case plan.
  • Supervises electronic monitored offenders.
  • Prepare and maintains records as required including but not limited to documentation of drug screening, record of assessments and records of all contact with probationers.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or field approved by the state.
  • Three years of experience as a Community Supervision Officer with one of those years as an Officer with Fort Bend County CSCD.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Community Corrections Officer Certification.
  • Texas Risk Assessment System Training Certification (TRAS).

SALARY RANGE: $28.80 - $36.00 hourly based on qualifications
