Summary
The Director of Project Controls & Analytics is responsible for leading the execution and implementation of enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives, cross‑functional integration efforts, and project controls practices across Ahtna and its family of companies. This role focuses on translating executive strategy into disciplined execution, ensuring consistency, visibility, and accountability across business lines.
Supporting Ahtna’s Construction, Environmental, and Services business lines, the Director partners closely with operational leaders and Business Support Services functions—including Finance, IT, HR, and Contracts—to embed transformation initiatives into day‑to‑day operations. This position leads enterprise project controls execution, performance reporting, and initiative tracking while leveraging shared services infrastructure as those functions continue to mature.
The Director plays a key role in advancing standardized project controls, performance intelligence, and data‑driven decision‑making across the enterprise, while supporting leadership with actionable insights and operational transparency.
The annual salary range for this position is $143,625-$181,686.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Enterprise Transformation & Integration
- Lead the execution of assigned enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives designed to improve operational performance, consistency, and efficiency.
- Support the integration of new processes, systems, and operating models into existing business operations.
- Partner with operational leaders to ensure initiatives are practical, executable, and sustained over time.
Project Controls Leadership
- Lead the implementation and day‑to‑day execution of enterprise project controls practices, including cost, schedule, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Apply consistent project controls frameworks, standards, and tools across Construction, Environmental, and Services business lines.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and reliable visibility into project financial and performance data.
Portfolio & Initiative Management
- Manage assigned portfolios, workstreams, or initiatives aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Track progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to support timely decision‑making.
- Support leadership in sequencing and prioritization of initiatives in coordination with operational and functional partners.
Data, Systems, AI & Performance Intelligence
- Ensure project and initiative data are accurately maintained within enterprise systems and reporting tools.
- Partner with Business Support Services, Finance, and IT to support data integrity, reporting consistency, and automation efforts.
- Leverage AI-enabled dashboards, analytics, and performance metrics to support operational insight and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise KPIs aligned with organizational objectives.
Operational Partnership
- Work closely with operational leaders, Program Managers, Project Managers, Contracts, Finance, and Business Support Services to support execution.
- Serve as a subject matter resource on transformation execution, integration, and project controls practices.
- Facilitate collaboration and coordination across functions and business lines.
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce complexity, and increase consistency across the enterprise.
- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Balance enterprise standardization with operational flexibility appropriate to varying business needs.
Change Management & Communication
- Support organizational change management efforts related to transformation initiatives.
- Assist with communication strategies to promote awareness, understanding, and adoption of changes.
- Support leaders in communicating expectations, progress, and outcomes.
