Medical Billing and A/R Team Lead - Workers' Comp

Brault is a practice management, billing and coding company exclusively serving acute care independent physician practices. A high volume privately held and family owned medical billing company, we are currently looking for an experienced, analytical and detailed oriented Accounts Receivable Insurance Billing Lead.  Qualified individual must have knowledge in medical billing specifically with workers' compensation and injury related claims experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Manager of A/R in monitoring performance and productivity against established benchmarks
• Take action to address and/or resolve problems, including bringing attendance or productivity issues to the attention of management
• Ensure staff is cross-trained to provide backup coverage.
• Reviews accounts and submission of claims per deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in a lead or senior role
• 4 years medical billing experience working with Accounts Receivables
• 2 years experience with managing workers' compensation and injury related claims
• Familiar with Athena IDX, Laserfiche, and Excel preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge with eligibility verification with all payers
• Experience in an accounts receivable environment
• Knowledge of medical billing: denials, appeals, secondary billing
• Understands and adheres to HIPAA and PHI guidelines
• Knowledge of MS Office ie Word and Excel, preferred
• Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize
• Detailed oriented with the ability to analyze and problem solve issues
