This ensures you will have access to the best and brightest minds in our industry to grow your experience and career within Emburse. <h3>What you'll do:</h3> <ul> <li>8+ yrs of software development experience, preferably with Lead position experience.</li><li>Go-to expert in one area of the codebase; understands the broad architecture </li><li>Understanding OWASP and general understanding of PCI/DSS at a code level as needed.</li><li>Takes personal responsibility for quality and maintainability of the product and actively identifies areas for improvement</li><li>Identifies problems/risks of own work and others.</li><li>May have role in supervising others or leading moderately sized  projects</li><li>Possesses empathy with the user of the software they are producing and uses that empathy to guide decision-making</li><li>SDLC processes are followed, including adopting agile-based processes/meetings, peer code-reviews, and technical preparations required for scheduled releases.</li><li>Partners with product and analytics and drive requirements that take into account all parties' needs</li><li>Known for drama-free launches</li><li>Owns the technical testing and performance plan for their projects</li><li>Expanded Code review responsibilities, including OWASP SSDLC assessment</li><li>Strong ability to mentor and guide junior developers</li><li>Develops sophisticated software without supervision</li><li>Identifies and proactively tackles technical debt before it grows into debt that requires significant up-front work to resolve</li><li>Sets direction at the project/service level and consistently influences decision-making </li><li>Develops large complex features and tackles difficult defects.</li><li>Provides technical advice and weighs in on technical decisions that impact other teams or the company at large. Experience working in OS X and Linux environments, Spring, AWS, Microservices, SQL, NoSQL, GIT. Experience working in a scrum and DevOps environment. Good understanding of agile application development lifecycle</li><li>Experience Designing and building JSON or REST services, experience working with 3rd party APIs, AWS APIs, Docker or other containers, large-scale or distributed web applications, Test Driven Development and functional testing.</li><li>Familiarity with the full stack of web development and proven history of web application development</li><li>Understanding of secure application programming practices or vulnerabilities</li><li>Strong understanding and practical experience with common design patterns</li><li>Ability to solve business problems through creative and forward-looking solutions</li><li>Ability to write clear, concise documentation </li></ul>How We HireWe value great candidate experiences and commit to providing a transparent interview process and responsive communication.
