We are seeking a Training Manager specializing in Safety & Compliance learning. This role is responsible for maintaining and evolving the development and execution of safety and compliance training strategy, ensuring our workforce remains at the forefront of safety protocols and regulatory requirements. As the Training Manager of these initiatives, you'll have the chance to create a profound impact on the well-being of our employees and the integrity of our operations.
Location:
This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities:
Safety & Compliance Learning Strategy: Collaborate closely with key field and functional safety leaders to identify critical training needs and craft comprehensive programs aligned with our strategic imperatives. You'll use your expertise to curate relevant content, explore innovative delivery methods, and establish robust assessment mechanisms to gauge learning efficiency.
Strategic Vendor Partnerships: Forge and maintain positive relationships with industry-leading vendors, serving as the primary liaison for all training-related matters. Collaborate to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality content and services that meet our exacting standards, while also overseeing vendor performance evaluations and resolution of any issues.
Dynamic Content Creation: Harness the collective expertise of our team and external partners to develop engaging and impactful learning materials tailored to diverse learning styles. Whether it's through immersive e-learning modules, interactive virtual sessions, or hands-on workshops, you'll ensure our training content remains both informative and captivating.
Budget Oversight: Responsible for our safety and compliance training budget, overseeing expenditures and resource allocation to improve return on investment. Provide regular updates on budget needs and forecasts to support learning and development of safety/compliance training.
Continuous Improvement: Embrace a culture of ongoing evaluation and refinement, bringing to bear data-driven insights to enhance the efficacy of our training programs. By staying attuned to industry best practices and emerging trends, you'll drive continuous innovation, ensuring our training efforts remain ahead of the curve.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, coupled with a proven track record in training program management and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated expertise of 5-8+ years in safety leadership or compliance management, with a keen understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
Proficiency in diverse training methodologies, including e-learning, virtual instruction, and traditional classroom settings.
Adept at vendor selection, negotiation, and performance management, with a keen eye for ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Exceptional project management skills, allowing you to navigate complex initiatives while juggling multiple priorities with ease.
Stellar communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners alike.
Analytical acumen to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement, coupled with a commitment to driving continuous learning and development.
Familiarity with training development tools and platforms, including the Microsoft Office Suite and other industry-standard software.
Professional certifications in talent development or regulatory compliance would be advantageous, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
