Job Duties

Manages the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel in a manner which will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Mohegan Sun Pocono and the management of the hotel. Plans, organizes, motivates and controls the housekeeping functions necessary to provide our guests with superior accommodations.  Requires thorough knowledge of methods of cleaning rooms and laundering. Requires knowledge of the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals. Requires general knowledge of such equipment as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers. Requires ability to select, train, evaluate and motivate. Operates the department within the budget by appropriately forecasting and scheduling team members. Performs other related duties as assigned.  Must possess excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.  Promotes superior guest service.  This position does not perform work on the casino gaming floor or in restricted areas.

Minimum Qualifications

1-3 years of previous housekeeping management experience.
Requires thorough knowledge of methods of cleaning rooms and laundering. Requires knowledge of the proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals. Requires general knowledge of such equipment as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers. Requires ability to select, train, evaluate and motivate.  Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).  Must be able to work various shifts, weekends, holidays and flexible hours. Must be able to stand during entire shift and have the ability to lift up to forty pounds.
