The Role

 

Landsberg Orora is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store and distribute material and products within establishment by performing the various warehouse functions and using manufacturing equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for rewarding career with an opportunity to grow in time.
 

This position will report to the: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role

 

  • You will be responsible for accurately reading and processing customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
  • Safety: We believe in safety first. You will be responsible to adhere and champion our best-in-class safety standards by ensuring all industrial equipment is inspected and meets minimum safety standards daily. Inspecting items such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, etc.
  • Verify and audit SAP system and documents for accuracy; Ensure that all paperwork submitted is reflective of your best work.
  • Product Storage and Movement: Convey material and items from receiving or production areas - to storage or to other designated areas safely and timely. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
  • Assembles customer order from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to the shipping department and may load material onto a truck.
  • Inventory management: Counting items/products to ensure conformance to company standards and customer expectations.
    Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications. Marks materials with identifying information. Records the amount
    of materials or items received or distributed
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested

What We’re Looking For

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years’ experience in warehouse environment

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including dealing with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Ability to operate various warehouse tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with manufacturing machinery; Stackers, Pressers, Corrugating, Folders, Cutters, Gluers, Forklifts
  • Forklift certified a plus
