We seek an experienced and strategic Director of compensation Operations to lead our regional compensation practices, ensure compliance, and oversee the design and delivery of annual compensation programs. This role will be critical in partnering with corporate development on acquisition projects and managing operational aspects of compensation, including bonus accruals and monthly stock processing. The ideal candidate will possess deep compensation strategy and operations expertise, coupled with a strong ability to navigate complex organizational needs and deliver impactful solutions.  The director's role will be to report to the senior director of compensation, who will have three direct reports. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regional Compensation Practices and Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain competitive regional compensation practices that align with business goals and market trends.
    • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global compensation regulations and practices.
    • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and adapt programs as necessary.
  2. Annual Compensation Program Design and Delivery:
    • Lead the design, execution, and communication of annual compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonus plans, and stock awards.
    • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure programs align with company philosophy and business objectives.
    • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in compensation program delivery.
  3. Corporate Development and Acquisition Projects:
    • Partner with corporate development teams to evaluate and integrate compensation structures for acquisitions.
    • Provide strategic guidance on harmonizing compensation practices and policies during post-acquisition integration.
  4. Compensation Operations:
    • Oversee monthly stock processing and bonus accruals to ensure timely and accurate execution.
    • Manage compensation-related systems and processes to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
    • Collaborate with finance and HR operations to align on budgeting and forecasting processes.
  5. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of compensation professionals to drive excellence in execution.
    • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including HR, finance, legal, and business leaders, to support organizational goals.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in compensation, with a focus on strategy and operations.
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing complex compensation programs on a global scale.
  • Strong understanding of regional compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with corporate development and acquisition integration is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in compensation systems, surveys, tools, and Microsoft Excel, including Workday and Radford. 
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of influencing and collaborating across diverse teams.
