IFRS Capital Performance and Solvency 2 Senior Analyst

About the role

Under the leadership of the analytics managers of the team, you will contribute strongly to the production of Year End, quarterly and Plan analytics for management, playing a key role in the understanding and forecast of SCOR’s IFRS capital performance and Solvency ratio evolutions.  

As the outcomes of the capital allocation key strategic project are put in production, you will also contribute to the streamlining and industrialization of the tools that are put in place, leveraging on coding skills and your actuarial background.

You will work collaboratively with several expert teams within Finance (P&C performance, P&C planning, L&H performance, Reserving, Corporate performance, accounting teams…) and outside Finance (Risk Management).

You will be responsible for:

  • Solvency 2 analytics: Contribute to producing, on a quarterly basis, analytics to explain Group Solvency Ratio movements with underlying business and economic drivers.
  • IFRS 17 Economic and Capital Performance analytics contribute to : 
    • producing analytics to support analysis of the IFRS 17 capital performance, identifying areas of capital efficiency within SCOR
    • supporting analysis of IFRS 17 Economic Performance, identifying key drivers of EV movements in link with Finance Performance teams
  • Forecasting: Contribute to building year end forecasts of Group Solvency Ratio, in link with Finance Performance teams.
  • Provide support and contribute to the framing of work for Junior Analysts.
  • Between 5 and 7 years as an actuary preferably in a (re)insurance company finance or consulting firm.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 and Solvency II and previous relevant experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong appetite to automate and digitalize processes 
  • Fluency in French & English (written and spoken)
  • Coding skills (Python) a strong plus

Required Education 

  • Master’s degree (or above) in Actuarial science or equivalent experience
  • French and English (written and spoken)
