What you’ll do: 

 

As a Senior Designer focused on crafting the first use (onboarding) and continued learning experience framework for SAP products, you'll play a pivotal role in helping shape how users interact with our software from their very first interaction through their entire journey. You'll collaborate across the product portfolio with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create seamless, intuitive, and engaging onboarding experiences that ensure users can quickly understand and derive value from our products. Additionally, you'll design ongoing learning experiences that help users deepen their skills and knowledge over time, enhancing their overall experience and satisfaction with our products.

You're a master of aesthetics and visual hierarchy, ensuring users can find the information they need quickly and efficiently. You will push the boundaries of what's expected in enterprise software, crafting differentiated experiences that delight users. This requires a constant curiosity about emerging design trends and a willingness to experiment with new ideas. Ultimately, you'll transform enterprise software from a functional necessity to a user experience that's both powerful and engaging. 

 

Expectations and tasks 

 

• Design high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and user journey’s that are not only functional but differentiating that are also aesthetically pleasing and consistent with our brand identity 

• Design frameworks for continued learning that support users in building their expertise over time, including tutorials, in-app guidance, and other educational resources 

• Partner with product managers, design leadership, and engineers to translate complex features and functionalities into clear, visually appealing, and user-friendly designs 

• Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams 

• Champion design best practices and establish new patterns that can be contributed back to a design system that ensures consistency and scalability across our product suite 

• Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies, continuously bringing new ideas and perspectives 

• Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and cross teams, fostering a strong design culture 

 

About you 

 

• 7+ years of experience in visual design, with a strong focus on UI design 

• Experience designing for a variety of user experiences including first-use and/or guided tours, demonstrating versatility and adaptability 

• In-depth understanding of design principles, including user-centered design, visual hierarchy, and information architecture 

• A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics 

• Keen ability to grasp complexity quickly and to focus on key issues 

• Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present design ideas to leadership and executives 

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural, After Effects, Pendo or WalkMe onboarding tools a plus)
