BMO Bank N.A. seeks Specialist III-IC Business Analysis in San Ramon, CA to investigate and identify strategies to optimize business operations and services to inform business decisions.

Define business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing and documenting business processes and collaborating with business stakeholders. Source business and market data to evaluate the effect of projects on business results. Assess the efficiency and performance of technology (software, hardware and the wider IT system) to deliver expected business results. Identify and analyze malfunctions, system workflow, and troubleshoot issues raised by business. Elicit requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes. Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements. Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements. Apply depth of domain and functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value. Break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Support building test cases in order to validate business requirements and end-user testing results.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Business Administration or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as Business Analyst, Tech Manager or related occupation conducting business analysis, data analytics, anti-money laundering (AML), and information technology projects in a commercial lending environment.

Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include: Performing Agile delivery and development; Soliciting, analyzing, and documenting customer requirements and mapping business process; Constructing wire-frame diagrams, graphic user interface (GUI) specifications and report templates using MS Visio and Balsamiq tools; Configuring design elements through parameterization of application modules and system workflow components using SQL and Velocity scripts; Generating reports and performing data analysis using MS office and SQL; Utilizing Know Your Customer (KYC), AML, and commercial lending to understand the process bank system and data to write detailed requirements and perform data analysis and data mapping; and enabling accurate data mapping of solution components, interfaces, and conversion routines. Hybrid position - 4 days remote, 1 day in office.

The salary for this specific position in San Ramon, CA is $140,000.00/year.

$81,400.00 - $151,800.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
