The Value-Added Services organization creates and delivers products to Visa clients and accelerates the seamless delivery of our products into markets. The VAS Product & Portfolio Operations team is accountable for managing, prioritizing, and commercializing the entire portfolio of Visa’s Value-Added Services offerings.  The Senior Director, Product Portfolio Partner will play a key role in organizing a complex suite of capabilities by providing a portfolio structure, governance model and decision framework that enables proper prioritization, slotting, and delivery of solutions to our clients for the Business Unit. This leader will maintain the central roadmap for the Business Unit product delivery and will play a key role in influencing how our solutions go-to-market.  We are seeking a business partner that can balance a strategic level of interaction with a pragmatic, data-driven and hands-on comprehension of the details. This role will interface frequently with senior business executives as well as product managers and developers at the individual contributor level.

The Senior Director, Product Portfolio Partner will partner closely with technology teams to manage capacity planning and identify and remove delivery risks as they arise..  The successful candidate will have over a decade of experience leading product management, delivery, and operations functions.  He or she will have strong consensus building skills and will be comfortable providing guidance and guardrails to a large and disparate team of product managers and supporting professionals.  This role sits at the intersection of several different teams, and enables connections with technology, sales, marketing, and support organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

How you will make an impact:

  • Enable operational excellence across the Value-Added Services product teams through the establishment of agile delivery processes and standards
  • Build creative solutions to slot and expand capacity, challenge the status quo of past process models and execute with a focus on speed, effectiveness, and throughput
  • Build investment framework to prioritize new work, enter new product categories or new markets, strengthen business case model to help team achieve executive approvals for funding
  • Track and manage the effectiveness of product builds and delivery, track, and test achievement of business cases
  • Create commercialization and product readiness standards to ensure solutions are optimally rolled out to meet client expectations at every phase of delivery
  • Make recommendations on capacity and slotting to enable the business to stay on target, deliver on client commitments and achieve business goals
  • Create and implement improved interaction models between the Product organization and our core internal partners in Technology, Client Services, Marketing, and Sales
  • Capture metrics & measurables that clearly indicate progress toward accomplishment of product roadmap and accelerated value delivery to market
  • Work with the Product leadership to identify areas of optimization by deconstructing issues, developing solutions, assigning accountability, and following through to conclusion
  • Independently frame issues, develop recommendations, and advocate for decisions in a fact-based manner in presentations to
