PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Development Operations Lead will enable the Institutional Funding and Partnership team to work more efficiently and effectively toward reaching the team’s ambitious revenue goals. The position will advance the organization’s institutional fundraising program through oversight of the department’s operations, pipeline management, and maintenance and analysis of development data to identify trends, progress to goal, and emerging strategies for success in fundraising. The position will cross-collaborate with frontline fundraising and support services team members, serving as a bridge for both arms of the team, and. will also be a conduit for collaboration with other Oxfam departments and divisions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations:
•Develop and maintain the foundational tools, systems, and processes needed to enable the Institutional Funding and Partnerships team to meet its fundraising mandate. Solve for workflow issues encountered along the way.
•Ensure use of, adherence to, and training in CRM system.
•Ensure compliance with relevant policies and processes; particularly opportunity assessment, financial administration, and grant management from donor perspective.
•Lead and/or participate in cross-departmental collaboration on special initiatives with the aim of developing, streamlining, and aligning systems and processes in order to achieve shared goals.
•Design and manage scope and sequence of intra- and inter-departmental meetings; including weekly team meetings, quarterly retreats, and more.

Data Analytics:
•Develop metrics to analyze fundraising and staff performance.
•Manage a suite of CRM reports and a comprehensive dashboard that monitor progress to goal and assist frontline fundraisers with prospect management and stewardship.
•Extract and interpret prospect and donor information from CRM and prepare/present reports for internal and external audiences.

Pipeline Management:
•Lead one-on-one Portfolio Reviews with Account Managers to support the timely progression of opportunities through the pipeline.
•Plan and execute Monthly Moves Management meetings and Go/No-Go opportunity assessment meetings.

Leadership:
•Support the Director and managers in developing the department’s annual budgets, operating plans, and revenue forecasting.
•Manage departmental culture initiatives, including Team Effectiveness survey, to identify trends and opportunities for learning and growth.
•Serve as operational team representative to the Institutional Funding and Partnerships Leadership Team.
•Oversee and advise operations staff members (Development Coordinator and Development Officer) on the execution of activities related to donor scans, prospect research, and special research projects.
•Support operations staff in development of skills and competencies related to Operations and Pipeline Management activities.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

•Advanced degree, preferably in a field related to writing, communications, political science, or international relations, or a combination of education and experience.
