As part of this role, you will be involved in the review of both new and current business relationships with third parties (business partners, suppliers, and landlords) and complex transactions at EMEA or WW level, as applicable. In particular, the successful candidate will need to assess red flags and understand the associated legal risks, with the opportunity to collaborate with global and regional teams, including but not limited to, Compliance Officers, Business, and Contract Management teams.<br/>While compliance with anticorruption laws and other internal controls is the focus of the role, the Attorney/Lawyer will also handle a reasonable volume of general legal work, focused on contract engagements in the commercial and public sectors, to gain broader experience at IBM, build meaningful skills and expertise, and thus foster professional growth. <p><span></span><br/><span>Required Technical and Professional Expertise</span><span></span><br/><span><span calibri=""><span lang="EN-GB">• Strong ability to analyse different scenarios and understand the legal risks arising<br/>• Ability to handle multiple requests and various stakeholders (such as local attorneys, regional compliance officers, business teams), managing business expectations<br/>• Law Degree</span></span></span><br/><span><span calibri=""><span lang="EN-GB">• At least 2 years of legal experience in private practice or in-house<br/>• Fluent in English and German</span></span></span><br/><span><span calibri=""><span lang="EN-GB">• Strong written and oral communication skills<br/>• Good time management skills and ability to handle urgent situations and pressure<br/>• Team player and fast learner, ability to quickly learn processes, applicable legislation and business model</span></span></span></p> <p><span></span><br/><span>Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise</span><span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span calibri=""><span lang="EN-GB">Knowledge of anti-corruption legislation and /or legal experience in supporting anti-corruption related matters</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span lang="EN-IE">Ideally admission to the Bar Association in Germany, </span><span lang="EN-IE"><span arial",sans-serif"="">​​</span></span><span lang="EN-IE">Austria or Switzerland</span></span></span></li> </ul> <br/><span>Key Job Details</span><br/> <span>Role:</span>Lawyer (with German) <span>Location:</span>Dublin, IE <span>Category:</span>Enterprise Operations <span>Employment Type:</span>Full-Time <span>Travel Required:</span>No Travel <span>Contract Type:</span>Regular <span>Company:</span>(1679) Software Labs Campus Unlimited Company <span>Req ID:</span>727977BR <p> </p>
