Dietary Specialist - Patient Service Rep

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Dietary Specialist - Patient Service Representative for Food Nutrition Services as a full time job in Nashville, Tennessee.   Shift: Day Shift   The Dietary Specialist - Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves and delivers meals to patients, while ensuring food safety and hygienic procedures are always followed. The PSR also prepares meals, snacks and beverages following specific food handling procedures.    Dietary Specialist - Patient Service Rep Roles & Responsibilities:  

• Assist with the preparation, plating, and delivery of food to the patients.
• Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items.
• Daily stocking of the lounges
• Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning
• Assisting with educating the patients on their diets and their meal selections
• Staying current on the individual procedures and protocols for their facilities, including state-specified rules and regulations

  

Required Skills and Qualifications:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• 1 year experience in customer service/customer facing role.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
