About the Role

The Senior Product Manager will own a product or one or more product features within a complex product. He/she will be responsible for developing a commercially successful product strategy and lead project execution with minimal guidance that is based on qualitative and quantitative customer understanding. He/she will develop strong technology relationships looking for ways to address customer needs and will be seen as a critical stakeholder for feedback on new feature ideas. He/she will informally coach more junior PMs and interview and recruit new PM candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Delivery and Development Lifecycle: Lead and inspire a cross-functional team to execute product strategy and deliver business growth.

  • Analytics: Suggest new ways to deliver insights from thousands of data points from our data.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making and Analysis: Establish and track key metrics used to measure the success and performance of the products you are responsible for. Use this information to support decision making within the business and prioritize feature development. Design data experiments that will assess the likely success and performance of your product designs. 

  • Go to Market and Product Marketing Lifecycle: Be the evangelist, clearly communicating customer value propositions that your products offer, and the timescales needed to deliver. Support customers and the sales organization with information such as feature functionality, packaging, value proposition, competitive positioning and more. 

  • Customer Focus: Capture feedback from customers and customers facing colleagues. Analyze the market, regulatory landscape and understand your competitors. Be the voice of the customer in all business interactions. 

  • Strategy and Commercial Acumen: Be clear on your target market and identify its needs by working with subject matter experts within the business. Clearly understand how your role contributes to the success of our products and our overall business strategy. Communicate the trade-off between buy, build or partner options. 

  • Technical Skills: Understand the technology which powers your products and support your team in making technology decisions. Be on top of new, emerging technologies used within the market. Carry out your own analytics using BI tools available.  

  • Collaborate: Collaboration with teams including Engineering, Data Science, Sales and your colleagues to continually share and redefine best practices 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in Product Management, 6-8 years 

  • Analytical skills needed to drive insight from data  

  • Demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems with simple, elegant solutions 

  • Strong communication and confidence to act as an evangelist for all things data and analytics within the business 

  • Track record of communicating complex concepts  

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities 

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies like Agile Scrum, Kanban, writing user stories, and some background in software development 

  • Business risk knowledge preferred but not required. This includes Credit assessment, Due Diligence checks, account management and monitoring. 

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical subject is preferred but not required
