Role and Responsibilities
Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) business spans a complex portfolio of innovative products and services across Smartphone, Tablet, PC, Smartwatch, Buds, Smart Ring, Samsung Health, Samsung Wallet and more – all powered by the groundbreaking Galaxy AI technology.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Mobile Marketing, the Director of MX Product Marketing – Handheld Phone (HHP is the leader of the marketing team the HHP portfolio. The individual is responsible for leading the team to develop audience strategy for the US, product positioning and consumer communications, integrated marketing plans, product launch strategies and plans, go-to-market planning, execution and measurement of full-funnel marketing campaigns and programs towards annual and quarterly revenue targets. Owner of critical internal stakeholder relationships (Product Management, Finance, Retail, Ecomm), Carrier/Partner collaboration, and external agency partners.
Role & Responsibilities
Insights-driven strategies development and ownership
- Guide Insights team to develop data driven strategies and recommendations for audience targeting, positioning, messaging and go-to-market
- Own and lead analysis of the brand health, user acquisition and retention, and launches/campaigns performance on a regular basis.
- Own HHP marketing strategy and evangelize during key leadership meetings at the strategic business reviews (with SEA and Global business leadership).
Translation of global marketing playbooks into marketing strategies and plans relevant in the US
- Collaborate and influencer Global Mobile Marketing stakeholders to build plans that support US-focused strategies.
- Translate global brand and product positioning into communications and opportunities relevant in the US.
- Product launch and always-on marketing planning and execution
- Lead audience strategies, positioning, messaging, communications strategy and campaigns planning.
- Develop the strategy, annual calendar, and plans for mobile marketing across HHP and collaborate with NCME to build holistic launch plans, sustain initiatives, seasonal campaigns, including investment planning and team resourcing planning and organization.
- Work with cross functional team to build Marketing KPIs on an annual and quarterly basis, aligned to business and overall marketing goals. Lead tracking, analysis and reporting.
- Develop go-to-market plans for all mobile product launches to drive awareness, consideration, purchase intent and conversion: positioning and messaging, marketing toolkits, media plans, creative campaigns, by launch phase planning and measurement.
Cross-category marketing visions and initiatives
- Lead MX cross-portfolio initiatives: CRN (Certified Renewed), Why Galaxy, Try Galaxy: from insights analysis to campaign strategies, marketing briefs, planning, execution and measurement, learning agenda.
- Deliver innovative ways to create new sources of business growth through audience, channel, partner expansion, strategic go-to-market and creative innovation.
People leadership
- Lead and grow a team of product marketers, foster a culture of respect, ownership, collaboration and innovation.
- Own strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to build insights-driven mobile business strategies, foster collaboration, and cross-functional innovation.
