Location: Field-Based Sales (with proximity to Lenexa, KS office with regular Kansas & Missouri travel)
Reports to: Director of K-12 Sales or Market Sales Manager

What You’ll Do
- Lead business development by prospecting, generating leads, and managing the full sales pipeline.
- Plan and execute impactful sales activities and promotional events to support assigned operators.
- Deliver in-person and virtual sales presentations tailored to K-12 foodservice decision-makers.
- Prepare and present food samples to demonstrate product value and benefits.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective bid strategies.
- Analyze bid specifications and documents aligned with submission guidelines.
- Ensure continuous communication with stakeholders throughout the bid process.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and skills.
- Ensure compliance with K-12 proposal requirements within strict deadlines.
- Utilize CRM tools for tracking sales cycles, maintaining data accuracy, and reporting.
- Build awareness of client value propositions and develop meaningful partnerships with school districts, charter schools, foodservice staff, school boards, and advocacy organizations.
- Travel daily within your market and represent Affinity Group at trade shows and regional industry events (some overnight travel required).
- Operate from a hybrid setup: remote/home-based with access to a local office hub.
Who We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years’ experience in foodservice sales, distribution, or brokerage, especially within K-12 education.
- Experience in dietetics, school foodservice, cafeteria operations, or culinary roles strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred (especially in nutrition, business, or related fields).
- Demonstrated success in consultative selling and outside business development.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
- High emotional intelligence and a people-first mindset.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and fearless in asking for the business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel daily.
