StorageMart/Manhattan Mini Storage is seeking applicants for a Vice President, Operations (VPO). This position oversees a division covering multiple states by providing leadership and guidance to a team of Regional Managers in self-storage retail locations. In addition, the VPO provides exceptional leadership to maximize employee efficiency and effectiveness and reaching full regional potential in terms of income, expense control, capital expenditures, etc.
The position requires strong organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to interpret business and financial documents in support of store success. The primary focus is on driving revenue growth, ensuring operational efficiency, managing expenses, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Developing and executing strategic plans to meet or exceed division sales objectives.
2. Managing regional financial performance by setting and reviewing budget goals, monitoring income and controlling expenses.
3. Supporting Revenue Management goal setting through competition analysis, pricing strategies, inventory control, and move-in/move-out trend monitoring.
4. Overseeing regional operations through regular visits, ensuring company standards are met in areas such as customer experience, store appearance, and productivity. NOTE that this position requires at least 50% travel.
5. Leading, supporting, and managing a team of Regional Managers and other staff members through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
6. Maintaining a strong understanding of company policies and procedures and ensuring that employees are also well informed.
7. Maintaining and distribute up-to-date store layouts, unit mix data, and pricing information for your division to support company operations.

Requirements:
1. Four-year degree in Business, Finance, or related area and at least 5 years of experience in multi-location retail, hospitality, or self-storage industries is required. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
2. A proven ability and experience in leadership of teams – mentoring, inspiring, and developing.
3. Experience with analytics, budgets, problem-solving, decision making, and communication.
4. Ability to travel at least 50% of the time. For Vice President, Eastern Operations, the territory will include New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Florida.
Pay: $140,000 annually plus annual bonus potential up to $25,000.
