Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Web Software Developer to join our team based out of Chantilly, VA.

The Web Software Developer must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and ManTech International, Inc.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Write high-quality code on schedule.
  • Meet with customers and collect/document business requirements.
  • Learn client Production Systems and value client culture.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications (built in classic ASP, SQL, VBScript, Javascript, JSON, Ajax).
  • Build new applications.
  • Maintain and update Microsoft IIS Servers and Microsoft SQL Servers.
  • Work with cybersecurity teams to ensure server and data security requirements are met.
  • Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership, and customers.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in web application development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
  • Experience in ASP, Microsoft SQL, CSS.
  • Strong understanding of using scripting languages (VB Script, JavaScript/jQuery, Ajax, JSON) and coding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of Transact-SQL, writing database queries, and designing a relational database.
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft IIS Server management and SQL Server management (configuration, migration, backup procedures, etc.).
  • Current knowledge regarding web security, application security, and an understanding of common information technology security practices.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more technical certifications (Comp TIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator) highly preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
  • A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.
  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.
  • Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
  • Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
