The Investment Associate will primarily support commercial real estate debt and equity originators and equity asset managers and will be involved in all aspects of the mortgage origination and equity acquisition process including underwriting, research, due diligence, negotiations, deal structuring, and closing. Financial modeling, investment analysis and preparation of internal investment memoranda are the core aspects of the job. The candidate will also participate in internal and external client meetings, presentations to senior management, and property/market tours.

  • Understanding of various debt product including senior mortgages, mezzanine and subordinated loans, and preferred equity.

 

Qualifications

A business-related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record and with a strong preference for a concentration in Finance or Real Estate. The candidate should have two or more years of real estate investment/underwriting experience preferably working for an institutional investment company, commercial lender, brokerage company, appraisal firm, or related commercial real estate firm. Proficiency in Argus and advanced modeling skills in Microsoft Excel is required.

 

 

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $110,000-$130,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
