Orthodontic Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant, must hold an active DC dental assistant license, to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, assisting our orthodontists in providing high-quality orthodontic treatments to our patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working specifically in orthodontics.

Responsibilities:

• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and orthodontic procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
• Take diagnostic records, including x-rays, intraoral scans, and photos
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care for their orthodontic appliances
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Perform sterilization and infection control procedures as per guidelines
• Collaborate with the orthodontic team to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction

Requirements

Requirements:

• Licensed Dental Assistant with Active DC license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in orthodontics
• Proficiency in taking dental X-rays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service
• Team player, patient first attitude

Desired Experience, but not required:

• Experience with Dolphin and Cloud 9 a plus
• Experience with clear aligners/scanning
• Experience with Light Force bracket system preferred
