Controls Technician
La Crosse, WI area
Salary: $35 - 50/hr
Overview:
This opportunity is with an international food additives manufacturer that has a 60-person facility, located about 40 miles north of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Some of the processes that this plant uses is mixing, spray drying, fermentation, and bulk packaging. In this role you'll focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems (PLC, DCS, and HMI). You'll also have the opportunity to lead a small team of other technicians and personnel. The parent company, which operates multiple food and pharmaceutical sites both domestically and internationally, offers potential transfer opportunities and further career growth. This bonus-eligible position includes relocation assistance and overtime pay. People tend to commute to the plant from locations such as La Crosse and Winona, and other local towns around the Mississippi River.
Requirements
Ideal Experience:
- Associates degree or higher will be required for this position along with 2+ years of PLC or DCS controls/automation experience.
- Leadership or supervision experience is preferred.
