Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Clinic - Internal Medicine

Our internal medicine physicians are skilled in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult disease and conditions. No matter how common or complex your medical condition, our Internal Medicine teams work in collaboration with other medical specialists to coordinate and manage your care.

 

A caregiver in this position works 8:30AM – 5:30PM.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.  

• Administer medication.  

• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.  

• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.   

• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.  

• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.  

• Follow Code Blue protocol.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.  

• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.   

• Knowledge of infection control practices.  

• Experience with technology. 

• Computer literacy.  

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.  

• One year of clinical experience.

• Essential Duties: This position requires knowledge of all aspects of patient c
