Engineering Team Lead ( Nutanix Experience)- Mostly Remote

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead with a strong background in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and Nutanix to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical expertise and leadership skills, with a proven track record in managing engineering teams and driving the successful implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, exceptional communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment. This is a 6 month contract to hire and is onsite one day per week.

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, VMware, and Nutanix infrastructure.
• Project Management: Manage and coordinate multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
• System Administration: Perform advanced system administration tasks, including server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT systems.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements for IT infrastructure. Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and Nutanix environments.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures. Provide regular reports on team performance, project status, and system health.
• Incident Management: Lead the response to high-priority incidents, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on business operations. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Innovation and Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the IT infrastructure.
